Aquaponics is one of COMMU•DEN's first and most recent projects.

Aquaponics is a system of aquaculture. The waste that is produced by the fish (Tilapia) supplies the nutrients for the plants that are grown hydroponically, which in the end will purify the water. 

​

After a long and tedious amount of time, we have finally been able to set up our very own trial system on campus.

​

Once this succeeds, we will be able to implement these systems within the surrounding rural areas. This then will help the people in the location to start up their very own businesses within the comfort of their homes.
